Jeremy Skibicki was charged with the first degree murder of four Indigenous women in 2022- Rebecca Contois, Morgan Harris, Marcedes Myran and an unidentified woman known as Buffalo Woman. 3 of these women's remains have not been found, and since December 2022 advocates have been fighting for a search of a Winnipeg landfill that police believe may contain these missing remains.
