The "shepherding/pastoral" gifting gives Paul the unique ability to cultivate rich dialogue and process the difficult questions of life. Paul enjoys sharing what it means to take crazy steps of faith, how to persevere through hardship, and how to hold firm to the belief that "God is God and God is good", no matter the circumstances.
