He shares a mystical kundalini awakening experience that forever altered his path, activated forms of extrasensory perception and inspired him to study neuroscience to understand his spiritual insights. He has since studied multiple ancient wisdoms including Tibetan Buddhism, Taoism, Shamanism and Hinduism. Tom describes how he employs his nearly four-octave range voice in tandem with other acoustic instruments to induce altered, expanded states of consciousness that help access heightened creativity and spiritual insight. He explains the importance of conscious vs unconscious intentionality and how the brain's marvellous capacity for neuroplasticity shapes our perception of reality. Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications, drama, and speech from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he also received the Raymond Taylor Award for Excellence in the Performing Arts. Additionally, Tom has completed coursework in humanistic and psychological counseling, breathwork and medical hypnosis through Columbia Pacific University and the Southeast Institute for Group and Family Therapy.
