Ran D. Anbar, MD, FAAP, shares his amazing experiences healing children from chronic illnesses in his book, Changing Children’s Lives with Hypnosis. During our interview, Dr. Anbar provides examples of how the mind and body are entangled. Through the use of hypnosis, he’s able to powerfully resolve mental and physical health problems such as stress, anxiety, depression, asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, vocal chord dysfunction, and many other conditions quickly and powerfully. We explore the role of the placebo effect, the subconscious, and intention for healing. His book empowers everyone to recognize and tap into their own innate ability to heal.

About Dr. Ran Anbar

Ran D. Anbar, MD, FAAP, is board certified in both pediatric pulmonology and general pediatrics, offering hypnosis and counseling services at Center Point Medicine in La Jolla, California, and Syracuse, New York. His book, Changing Children’s Lives with Hypnosis, published on 11/15/21, is now available.

In addition to his pediatric hypnosis work, Dr. Anbar served as a professor of pediatrics and medicine and the director of pediatric pulmonology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, for 21 years. Prior to that he completed his undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology from the University of California, San Diego. He earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency and pediatric pulmonary fellowship training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston.
