Accepting when our loved ones shed their earthly form is a process. Just as when we fell in love it was a process. My grief will fade the same way my love for my person grew slowly, steadily and lovingly. It is up to each of us to be gentle with ourselves as we grieve. Learning to grieve is a skill. Feeling our feelings takes courage. Bravely opening our hearts to the gaping hole in our heart left by the person we are unable to hug. When we catch ourselves taking to the ghost of our beloved we smile and say we love you!

We are connected to our beloveds by the memories in our hearts, minds and spirits. Learning to grieve is an unwanted skill that is useful. May we all learn to grieve as if we are enlightened guru. Hugs :~)
