We are always advocating that people eat locally-sourced whole foods as possible. Not only as these foods more nutritious, but they have lower toxic chemical burdens. These foods travel fewer distances than foods in our grocery stores. Therefore, they tend to be free of chemical preservatives or plastic wrapping that lengthen freshness.
