The above quote is the one I couldn't find while I was recording this episode. It meant a lot to me back in my 20's, when I was having a very difficult time letting go of hurts and upsets in life. This quote, now that I'm nearly 40, reminds me of the remarkable beauty of the wisdom and understanding that comes with aging and knowing life. I'm grateful for this everyday and for my perseverance through the times that felt void of hope and potential.

On this week's solo episode I speak on a topic that was inspired by two sacred conversations I had this week. One with a 16 year old an another with a lovely Women's group participant. They both mournfully expressed their weariness from experiencing recent break ups and separation from partners they felt deeply for. Together we discussed why it's important not to give up, to believe greater joy and happiness is possible, and that it's better to persist and grow wise than to perish without knowing fully what you are made of and how divinely serene life can be.

Ok so hear me out here, this topic may sound odd yet this theme came up a few times times in the past week. Once in session with a client and again at Women's group on Wednesday. Women expressing their concern that perhaps certain tendencies indicated that they, themselves, could potentially have narcissistic traits. And yes, Narcissism is an overused & oversaturate term presently yet it DOES exist and it is NOT the same as being overly self concerned due to early life trauma. That's my take and I wanted to share it. On this solo episode I offer my thoughts on why many Women come to be hyper self focused and preoccupied with self preservation as a survival technique resulting from traumatic events. We can come to believe that other's feelings, actions, and moods are due to us because that was the fear we had when our environment as a child was unpredictable & unstable. Or if we overly worry about things working out for us, it's because we've been hurt in the past, not because we're selfish. This and more is discussed and of course an oracle card pull. I've been thinking a lot about how hard it can be to trust. Trusting another person, a situation, an opportunity, a new romantic partner, a friend. You get the idea. I've felt let down, disappointed, and devastated many times when someone or something I'd decided to believe turned out to be full of crap. So what are we supposed to do about that? How do we carry on having faith in others when it's so common to get burnt by someone you trust? On this week's solo episode, I share a few recent rough personal experiences of having my trust betrayed or broken, how I moved through it, and what I learned from it. I've come to decide that despite the fact that it's nearly impossible to have confidence that all people will be honest and truthful with you, it's still worth trusting. Emerging from an abusive or Narcissistic relationship undoubtably leaves someone profoundly devastated, confused, and depleted. So many unanswered questions, immense anxiety wondering the extent of the lies and manipulation, truly questioning what's up from down and how you will regain a semblance of feeling normal again. Where can a Woman turn when in such a dire state? Well my guest this week is a fabulous option! Kay Hutchinson is the CEO of Aiki Healing, a certified medical qi gong practitioner and herbalist with over 21 years clinical experience helping people recover from narcissistic abuse by repairing the five energy tanks that narcissists destroy. With lived experience of having survived a narcissistic marriage, she has refined ancient energy reset protocols from the Chinese medicine system, over 2000 years old, to ignite body, mind and soul potential. On this guest episode, Kay shares about how Women can hasten their recovery by incorporating energetic resets to regulate the five energetic areas that narcissists damage--that no one is showing women how to repair. Particularly about the SNAKE aspect as I adore snakes especially their Spiritual significance and meaning. With this being the Year of the Snake and 2025 incorporating a 5, you can anticipate a lot of shedding and changing this year. Who are we? What are we? Quantum science is slowly revealing the fact that all of us are connected in a very intimate way. There is no despair so absolute as that which comes with the first moments of our first great sorrow, when we have not yet known what it is to have suffered and be healed, to have despaired and have recovered hope. - George Eliot The above quote is the one I couldn't find while I was recording this episode. It meant a lot to me back in my 20's, when I was having a very difficult time letting go of hurts and upsets in life. This quote, now that I'm nearly 40, reminds me of the remarkable beauty of the wisdom and understanding that comes with aging and knowing life. I'm grateful for this everyday and for my perseverance through the times that felt void of hope and potential. On this week's solo episode I speak on a topic that was inspired by two sacred conversations I had this week. One with a 16 year old an another with a lovely Women's group participant. They both mournfully expressed their weariness from experiencing recent break ups and separation from partners they felt deeply for.
