In one of the most magical and intimately REAL conversations I've had on the podcast, I had the honor of connecting with Rebecca Capps to talk about everything from food addiction, body shaming, childhood trauma wounds, and how to align with alchemy + the magic of miracles (ala, A Course in Miracles) as a way to RISE above the madness in your mind. Rebecca was even married by the master of A Course in Miracles herself, Marianne Williamson!
Breaking cycles of childhood and ancestral trauma wounds can be tricky, as it's deeply rooted within our DNA + subconscious patterns, which is the root cause of self-sabotage. Meaning, it become somewhat of a silent addiction, and one that is connected to everything you do, how you feel about yourself, and how you treat your body in the process.
As Rebecca speaks about in this episode, "The body is on display", meaning food as a coping mechanism can be challenging as it's the addiction you wear for everyone to see.
We also uncover the powerful concept of "Food as a sense of safety + control", which explains WHY you may have a deeply rooted relationship to food that may actually be limiting your life.
Rebecca and I both share a past of battling with our bodies, and the stories we keep telling ourselves, this narrative that Rebecca speaks about that is a pivotal part of trauma healing and uncovering root cause "sabotage".
How do we shift out of this trauma story? Listen to this episode to uncover the secrets of healing self-sabotage!
