Seide ist eines der drei klassisch chinesischen Produkte. Seine Geschichte reicht mehr als 6000 Jahre zurück und bis heute ist der luxoriöse Stoff beliebt in aller Welt. China hatte für Jahrtausende das Monopol auf die Herstellung von Seide und auch heute stemmt China wieder den weltweit größten Teil der Seidenproduktion.
