Alissa joins us for Part 2 of her birth story, with her second son. At five months postpartum, her friend suspected she was pregnant. After much hesitation due to her periods being off track since having her first child, she took a pregnancy test and it was positive! She was shocked due to her infertility issues with her first but couldn’t imagine her life without her second pregnancy and son. As she and her partner finally decided to head to the hospital around 39 weeks pregnant, her son who was 16 months at the time, woke up screaming with a high fever and ear infection. She had to let her mother and mother in law take over at 3am as they headed to the hospital. She had a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) delivery with her second son on her 29th birthday! It was a hard adjustment with 2 under 2 but they are now the best of friends! This is part 2 of 2.
