Lindsey from St. Louis joins us in sharing her triumphs and tribulations to starting a family. Her and husband knew they always wanted a family when they both grew up with multiple siblings. They started trying and quickly got pregnant. These two pregnancies both were miscarriages followed by D&C’s. After these two miscarriages they asked for additional testing and everything came back “normal”. They started a medicated cycle and received news at their first ultrasound they were expecting triplets! It was a shock but they were excited. Quickly thereafter, at about ten weeks they found out that two of the three did not make it, and the singleton resulted in her two year old son born in July of 2020.
Her son had to go to the NICU due to respiratory issues as Lindsey was hemorrhaging after delivery. She struggled with Postpartum Anxiety and shared this with her OB at her early 6 week checkup and was able to start medication which helped a ton.
Lindsey and her husband decided to start trying again when their son was 6 months old and went through another miscarriage which prompted IUI and then IVF, which they are going through currently. Sending them all the love and support, and sticky baby dust!
