Do you feel like God isn't answering your prayers? Maybe you have been praying for a specific situation for quite a while and you are not feeling like God is listening or answering you?

There could be a reason why He isn't answering.

If we are holding onto unforgiveness it can cause a lot of emotional, spiritual and physical stress on us.

We are given the command to forgive. Period. Not forget. But to forgive.

With the holidays and all that they bring, this issue of unforgiveness can be brought to our minds as we are meeting with family and pondering the year.

The problem is when we choose to not forgive whoever hurt us or wronged us we are only hurting ourselves. WE suffer when we hold onto unforgiveness. Not them.

And God wants more for us. He wants us to experience the freedom that forgiveness can bring.

We can pray and pray but if we choose to not forgive, is God going to answer us? We know He is listening but will He in His sovereignty answer?

A sticky subject and conversation for sure but one that is important especially around the holidays.
